A new Fanta bottle inspired by the popular soft drink's orange taste has hit the shelves of local supermarkets.

The newly designed spiral design breaks conventional PET engineering rules, resulting in a radical bottle design which combines intelligent engineering and creative design and sports the drink's new logo and colour scheme.

It is now available in Malta through GSD Marketing Ltd, distributors of The Coca-Cola Company brands, produced in Malta by The General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd.

GSD Marketing Ltd general manager Brian Galea said: “Fanta has always been playing a key role in the sparkling category in Malta, and it is important for us to be able to constantly renew the bond between the brand and its audience through bold innovations. With the new spiral bottle, we turn to dynamic people who love to experiment and have fun, offering a refreshing and great tasting fruity drink".

The asymmetric bottle silhouette is expected to stick out on store shelves, attracting teens and their parents.

GSD Marketing Ltd sales and marketing manager Martin Agius said: “Teens are constantly on the lookout for innovation. The Coca-Cola Company, producers of Fanta, never stops short of providing its consumers with initiatives combining the elements of surprise and fun. Fanta’s new image aims to achieve just that.”
