The Neptunes Summer School is once again open.
The organisation is one of the oldest and most successful on the islands, being set up to inspire children to learn swim strokes before improving skills in a safe environment.
The school is managed by experienced coach Monique Mangion. Together with her qualified team, they are all passionate about the sport and conduct professional lessons for the benefit of the young participants.
This year the school is being attended and overseen by Andy Colbourn, the new Neptunes swimming head coach.
Colbourn does not need any introduction to the local scene.
He was the ASA national coach for nine years, during which time he produced the country’s best ever swimming results abroad and led his squad to a long list of national records as well as countless new marks in various age group categories.
The coaching team at Neptunes includes current and former swimmers who excel in the sport, the likes of Amy Micallef, Edward Caruana Dingli and Davina Mangion.
During training, parents can stay and monitor their children’s progress while enjoying the amenities at the newly-refurbished Neptunes club.
One may obtain more details from the Neptunes WPSC website or by visiting the club during weekdays.
