Malta’s first ever Charity White Collar Boxing Event will be held at The Hilton Hotel on December 3 this year.

The event is organised by Fibonacci Marketing, one of the fastest growing digital marketing companies in Malta, and in association with Dixon’s Boxing gym.

Damon Booth, sales director at Fibonacci Marketing, said in a statement that they wanted to give something back to the islands that helped the company develop so rapidly.

“We feel that Malta has helped us as a start-up and want to do something in return,” Booth said.

Proceeds from the activity will go to two local charities, ALS Malta and Puttinu Cares.

Booth will be approaching companies on the islands and using his contacts in igaming and finance to sponsor members of their staff to take part as fighters on the evening.

“It’s all part of the fun and none of the fighters will have any experience in the ring,” Booth added.

“As part of the sponsorship package, there will be an eight-week training camp with Scott Dixon and his team at Dixon’s gym so, come fight night, they will be in shape.”

A sit-down black tie meal, charity auction and celebrity guests can be expected at the five-star setting and the plan is to make it an annual activity moving forward.

“Corporate social responsibility is starting to become key to Maltese-based companies, so we want to be able to help local charities in a fun and engaging way,” Booth said.
