Get ready to go back to the time of big bands with big egos, playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair in what has been called “the must-see theatrical event in Malta this summer” by Zach Stewart, the chief critic for TheatreMania, New York.

Written by Chris D’Arienzo, Rock of Ages is a five-time Tony Award-nominated jukebox musical built around some of the biggest tracks of the 1980s glam metal scene, with songs by Styx, Bon Jovi, Pat Benetar, Twisted Sister, Poison and Europe, among others.

The local version of the smash Broadway and West End hit is directed by Wesley Ellul and Marc Cabourdin, and stars Kurt Calleja, Errol Sammut, Nadia Vella, Taryn Mamo Cefai, Chris Dingli, Colin Fitz and Rachel Fabri.

On at the City Theatre in Valletta, the show is scheduled to run until mid-August – although it may run even longer! Tickets start from only €20 and can be purchased from www.ticketline.com.mt.

• Rock of Ages will be performed at the City Theatre in Valletta today and August 3 and 10 at 8pm. For more information, visit www.rockofagesmalta.com
