Countries like Spain, Holland, France and the US have enacted ‘modern’ laws going directly against Christ’s gospel, like easily-available abortion. God said: “Thou shalt not kill.”

So we must not beat about the bush and kill foetuses and unborn babies. Malta’s governments have behaved like copycats of this so-called modern anti-Christian western civilisation, moving rapidly downhill, enacting immoral laws.

Can’t our country and our governments be ‘original’ and follow Christ’s gospel instead? Personally, I shall stick to the gospel of Jesus of Nazareth. For being known as the world’s and Israel’s messiah or Christ, He was crucified by His people’s, the Jews, proud and jealous spiritual leaders and the Romans.

His second coming will take us all by surprise and we may not be ready for it. So we had better watch our step and not pass laws or issue new textbooks advocating principles He was expressly against. Christianity is not a joke. We shirk it at our peril. Let’s follow its tenets assiduously, faithfully and loyally.

We reject Christ at our terrible cost: personally, socially and politically and internationally by giving other countries a bad example. For all this, we shall have tosettle our account with our Creator.
