Kane: Tottenham striker Harry Kane has announced that he and girlfriend Kate Goodland are expecting their first child. The 22-year-old England international took to Twitter to reveal that he is due to become a father in January next year. He wrote: “So happy that @KateGoodlandx and I are expecting our first child! Exciting times ahead! Can’t wait!”

Watson: Southampton goalkeeping coach Dave Watson has signed a contract extension with the Premier League club and has also taken on a new role as head of goalkeeping at St Mary’s. The 42-year-old, who also currently works as England’s goalkeeping coach, moved to join Ronald Koeman’s staff on the south coast two years ago having made a name for himself while working in the same position at Norwich.

Cresswell: West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell will miss the start of the season after being ruled out for up to four months with a knee injury. The 26-year-old left-back, one of the Hammers’ most consistent performers last term, suffered ligament damage in their pre-season friendly win over Karlsruher in Austria on Saturday. Cresswell will see a specialist in London next week to determine whether or not he requires surgery.

Kostic: Hamburg have completed the signing of Stuttgart winger Filip Kostic for an undisclosed fee on a five-year deal. The 23-year-old was a rare bright spark for the Reds last season as they were relegated from the Bundesliga for the first time in 41 years. But Kostic, capped nine times by Serbia, will remain in the German top flight after penning a contract with Bruno Labbadia’s men that runs until the end of June 2021, ending his two-year stint with Stuttgart.

Villarreal: Villarreal have signed Andres Fernandez and Jose Angel on loan from Porto for the 2016-17 season. Goalkeeper Fernandez, 29, spent the majority of his career playing for Osasuna, making over 100 senior appearances between 2007 and 2014, before moving to Porto after the Spanish side were relegated from La Liga. Jose Angel also has plenty of experience playing in La Liga, having come through the Sporting Gijon youth system and featuring for the senior team between 2009 and 2011.
