June 25 marked the 50th anniversary of the class of 1964-1966 at Mater Admirabilis Training College, celebrated by 71-year-old girls.

The many years gone by were immediately forgotten as a feeling of nostalgia filled the atmosphere while reminiscing the wonderful memories shared.

The walk down memory lane started with a celebration Mass at the old college where the organist and choir, also alumni, sang hymns. This was followed by lunch at the college refectory, where ‘old shoes and old friends are made for relaxing’ as the room was filled with excitement and nattering.

The girls said they were forever grateful to the Sisters of the Sacred Heart who dedicated many years to train teachers, especially Sr Carmel Valentino and Sr Pauline Curmi, who joined the girls on the day. The girls donated €330 to the Ursuline Sisters.
