Indonesian officials have banned the playing of Pokemon Go in the presidential palace.

Hastily printed warnings that say "Playing or hunting Pokemon prohibited in the palace area" have been put up around the palace complex in Jakarta.

"This is the office of the president, not a playground," said palace worker Bey Machmuddin.

Last week, cabinet secretary Pramono Agung said he had found a number of Pokemon at the palace, but some officials voiced concern the game could pose a security risk.

The game, that uses Google Maps to place Pokemons and checkpoints to collect poke balls is not accurate enough for the safety of the players. The app does not take into consideration prohibited or private areas.

There have been many cases where youngsters found themselves entering private properties and even prohibited areas such as military camps. The app attempts to warn the players against possible risks in their environment, but the urge to find Pokemons is so important that players tend to do whatever it takes to pass game levels.
