ABDILLA. On July 18, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH of Għaxaq, residing at Tarxien, aged 66, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Helen, his children Frederick and Jean-Carl, in-laws, relatives and friends. BUTTIGIEG. On July 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, EDITH, née Buhagiar of Balzan, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her family, aged 85. Dearly missed and never forgotten by her beloved husband Frank, her beloved children, Sandro and his wife Marthese, Marco and his partner Sonja, Lydia and her partner Charles, and Carmen and her son Glenn, her grandchildren Rudy-Karl, Rebecca and Ryan, Cicley, widower of her brother Ronald, her in-laws and their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday, July 22 at 8am for Our Lady of the Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. FERRANDO. On Tuesday, July 19, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMEN, née Pace, of Valletta, aged 74, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her loving husband Vincent, her daughters Mary Anne and her husband John Gatt and Claudia and her husband Reuben Tanti, her most treasured grandchildren Sean, Marie, Whitney and Wilona, her sister Denise Azzopardi, her brother Alfred and his wife Lourdes, nephews and nieces, other in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, July 23 at 8am for St Dominic’s parish church, Valletta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GALEA. On July 19, on the eve of his 51st birthday, PETER PAUL, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his great irreparable loss his loving wife Monica née Rusek, his children Mark and Martina, his father John, his in-laws Bozena and Andrew Rusek, relatives and friends. LICARI. On July 19, under tragic circumstances, TARA MALOU, aged 17, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her parents Michael and her mother Dr. Lucianne Licari, MD, her brothers Gabriel and Emma, Timothy and Rebecca and Samuel, her grandparents George and Vera Busuttil and Iris Licari, her uncles and aunts Joseph and Connie, Anita and Eddie Aquilina, Johanna and Mark Vella, Charlotte and Ivan Riolo, Elaine and Edmund Gatt Baldacchino, her cousins Robert, Sarah, Joshua, Jean-Marc, Jonathan, Isaiah, Mikela, Malcolm, and Carl, other relatives and friends. Funeral details will be announced at a later date. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

WALKER. On July 2, ELEANOR, aged 33, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter, her mother Josephine, widow of Michael John, her sister Melissa and her husband Sam and their children Freddie and Jessica, her brothers Jack Allen and his girlfriend Sophia, Andy Bob Allen, her sister Beverly and her boyfriend Owen, in-laws, cousins, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, August 1 at 8.30am for St Julians parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Qrendi cemetery. People are invited not to wear black and possibly get a battery candle.
