Steve Camilleri, the Neptunes Grimaldi goal machine, is the BOV player of the month for June.

Camilleri extended his fine form from the European Championships and Italian league to this summer’s BOV Premier Division following a series of fine performances for the Reds.

In June Camilleri netted no fewer than 15 goals in four championship matches for Neptunes.

His tally included four strikes in the impressive 15-5 victory over champions San Ġiljan in the first round of the competition.

The June award for First Division players went to centre Claudio Spiteri Debarro.

The veteran Marsaxlokk Fisher player started the season on a strong note with four goals in the opener against Otters. He was also instrumental in helping the Southenders maintain an unbeaten run in the competition, adding ten more goals to his repertoire.

Anthony Scicluna, Bank of Valletta chief officer, presented Camilleri and Spiteri DeBarro with a commemorative plaque in the presence of ASA president Joe Caruana Curran.
