The Malta Tourism Authority has been awarded the Best Tourism Marketing award at Korea's largest trade fair for the second consecutive year.
The Korean World Travel Fair was attended by around 500 organisations from 50 different countries.
KOFTA, held in the South Korean capital of Seoul, is the largest and most important consumer and trade fair in Korea, and aims to strengthen the country's tourism industry by combining inbound and outbound tourism.
MTA CEO Paul Bugeja said that the award showed that the organisation's efforts, "both locally and internationally are being recognised by specialists in the field."
He said the MTA's KOFTA participation had generated plenty of interest in Korea, and thanked the MTA's Japan office for their work promoting the Maltese islands.
The Malta stand at KOTFA 2016 was manned by MTA's representative for Japan and Korea Shingo Endo. During the fair, Mr Endo was interviewed by various publications, including The Korea Travel News, which is the most popular travel industry newspaper in the country.
