Simon Busuttil keeps rubbishing his own statements, which he would have made in the past.
Both before and after the last general election, he had praised to high heaven Lawrence Gonzi both as PN leader and also as prime minister.
On July 10, this same Busuttil claimed that, since he took over the leadership of the PN, “the PN has again become the party of the people”. This, consequently, means that under Gonzi’s leadership the party had been completely distanced from the Maltese people. Certainly no nice compliment to his former leader.
This again proves that this leader of the Opposition keeps changing his political stances according to what he perceives to be the most vote-catching words at that moment in time.
He is not realising that all this political posturing is distancing him from serious-minded voters.
