The University of Malta’s Faculty of Medicine and Surgery is offering a new part-time evening Master of Science programme in surgery, spread over six semesters.

The programme would help prepare medical trainees doing their basic surgical or anaesthetic training to develop academic and scientific skills. It will also serve as a stepping stone to academia or also to higher surgical training, bridging the gap between the basic science and clinical fields of medicine and surgery.

The course is aimed at recently graduated doctors or students who will be graduating with an MD degree later this year who are interested in specialising further and pursuing a career in general surgery, or in one of the surgical specialties as well as candidates intending to specialise in anaesthesia and orthopaedic surgery.

The first deadline for applications is Thursday, July 21. To apply online visit www.um.edu.mt/apply.
