Chinese art, with its long-cherished traditions and inclusive nature, is an integral part of Chinese culture. In the 21st century, China focused on perpetuating traditional culture, rediscovering its roots, reviving heritage, forging a Chinese ‘spirit’, and creating a ‘Chinese style’ and ‘Chinese standard’.

In recent years, under the Promoting Chinese Fine Arts Overseas project, which is hosted by the China National Academy of Painting, a series of art exhibitions and forums have been held in the US, France and the UK, to promote cross-cultural dialogue through the medium of art

The international tour of selected fine art works from the China National Academy of Painting is an important part of the Promoting Chinese Fine Arts Overseas project, which consists of four parts: exhibition of traditional Chinese fan painting, exhibition of traditional Chinese paintings, exhibition of engravings and exhibition of Chinese calligraphy and seal cutting.

These comprise more than 200 exquisite representative artworks by over 100 great artists of the China National Academy of Painting, offering a glimpse into the world of Chinese art.

The exhibition tours and art seminars in Chinese cultural centres around the world aim to give global exposure to Chinese art forms.
