• A blood donation session will be held at Gozo General Hospital Outpatients Department today from 8am to 1pm.

• The feast of Our Lady of Succour will be celebrated at Kerċem today. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a Mass at the parish church at 9am. Sant’Antnin Band of Birkirkara will perform marches in the village’s main streets at 11.30am.

Evening prayers at the church, led by parish priest Fr Brian Mejlak will be said at 7pm. Mgr Karm Borg will lead the procession, accompanied by St Gregory band of Kerċem at 8pm. Mnarja Band will perform in front of the parish church. The statue of Our Lady of Succour will re-enter the church at 10pm. Bishop Grech will give the sacramental blessing.

• A Bible study meeting will be held tomorrow at 7.30pm at St Anthony church, Għajnsielem. All are welcome.

• The third apparition of Our Lady of Fatima will be celebrated at Ta’ Ħamet church, l/o Xewkija on Wednesday. There will be adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 6 to 7pm, followed by Mass and a pilgrimage with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima. All are welcome to attend.

• The 202nd anniversary of Police Day will be marked on Wednesday with an early evening Mass at Santa Marija cemetery chapel, Victoria, followed by the blessing of Police graves and laying of flowers. This will be followed by a march and concert by the Police band at 7.30pm at Marsalforn, and displays by the Precision Drill Team and Police Dogs Section at Il-Menqa.

• Xagħra Scout Group will hold a fundraising barbecue on Wednesday at 7.30pm in a field at Ramla Bay, including a camp fire at 10pm. Tickets cost €14 for adults and €7 for children. To book call Doris Sultana on 9943 3442, Diane Pisani on 7994 6768 or Vicky Vella on 9926 9053 by tomorrow.

• Il-Fergha Ewkaristika (Għawdex) will hold an hour of adoration on Thursday from 9 to 10am at Our Lady of Pompeii church, Victoria. The rosary will be recited at 8.45am. Everyone is invited.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening on Saturday at 8.30pm at Good Shepherd church, Victoria, followed by Mass at midnight.

• Jobsplus Gozo (formerly ETC) is holding a free short course in food handling (Cat. B). The 10-hour course will be held on July 27 from 4 to 8.30pm and July 30 from 8.30am to 3pm at the University of Malta Gozo campus. To book, call Kenny Grima on 2220 1963 or 2220 1957 by Friday.

• The feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will be celebrated at Ta’ Ħamet church on Saturday. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will say Mass at 6am. There will be adoration from 6 to 7.30pm, followed by a concelebrated Mass led by archpriest Daniel Xerri and a pilgrimage with the statue of Our Lady.
