A group of 31 students at Mater Boni Consilii St Joseph School, Paola, accompanied by teachers Cristina Mifsud, Julie Tabone Valetta and Elisa Saliba, recently held an educational tour to Mount Etna and Taormina, Sicily. The tour gave the students the opportunity to better understand the topic of volcanoes and living in a volcanic area that they had learned about in their geography lessons. They also had the chance to practise their Italian, learn about the area’s history and culture, and taste some traditional products, including Modica’s traditional chocolate, pasta di mandorla and torrone.
