On June 7, all Maltese say a prayer for those who lost their lives in the riots of 1919. In fact, we have a monument commemorating the victims of a tragic error.

That monument should be given a prominent place and, in my opinion, the most suitable location is Castille Place. The monument should take the place of that ugly thing that was placed there in really bad taste.

I mean no disrespect towards the ‘artist’, in fact, I think he has by now been honoured enough by having that knot placed in such a prominent place.

However, the  Sette Giugno monument  by far makes more sense and is artistically more attractive than a knot that means nothing.
