In presenting their work to the entire school, the students said they had selected gossiping, stalking, cyber bullying and violence as their key themes, with the grade having settled on a final picture after poring over ideas from both grade classes.

"The hands which appear below the victim are a symbol of us supporting the victim and we, the two grade 5 classes, signed our names on them," they said.

The two classes worked under the supervision and guidance of their art teacher, Ms Becky. She said the project had been a success "because all 52 girls worked in such harmony that they really united and understood more how wrong bullying is. It was a memorable project for us all."

The girls were rewarded for their hard work and creativity with cinema and bowling tickets.
