The College of Dance will on Sunday bring to an end another successful year by staging its annual performance entitled Princess & The Pea at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.

The show will be under the direction of artistic directors of the college, Felix Busuttil and Justin Roy Barker, who will also be staging their own choreography.

Other choreographers include Daron Galea, Elaine Falzon, Fiona Mckeown and Gianluca Blandi.

The first act will comprise of a ballet based on the famous fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersen, The Princess and the Pea.

The dance was devised by Nina Winter, head of the classical ballet department within The College of Dance.

Lisa Brincat and Rosario Ranieri will take on the roles of the princess and the prince, respectively.

The choreography was shared between Nina Winter, Ingrid Scerri, Lisa Brincat, Roberta Agius, Sandrina Spiteri Gonzi and Justin Roy Barker.

The ballet has the necessary ingredients – music, costumes and scenery to truly make it a traditional ballet.

The second act is a Divertissement and will consist of an array of choreography from different styles: contemporary, jazz dance, lyrical and hip hop, and commercial.

• Princess and the Pea is being staged on Saturday at the MCC at 7pm.
