Microsoft has appointed Kostas Loukas as general manager of its public sector division for Central and Eastern Europe. In his new role, Mr Loukas will be responsible for the strategic planning and building of partnerships with public institutions across the 33 markets in the region. His focus will be on the modernisation of public administration, through the adoption of digital solutions.
He began working at Microsoft Hellas 11 years ago as financial controller and soon thereafter as chief financial officer for three years. He then held the position of marketing and operations director until 2011, and for the next two years he took over as country manager for Microsoft Cyprus and Malta. Mr Loukas served successfully as general manager of Microsoft Romania for the last three years. In his new role, he will remain based in Bucharest.
