Want to get a lifetime supply of free hamburgers? In Australia it is possible, as an Australian hamburger restaurant promises to give customers free burgers for life.

Sounds too good to be true, but MrBurger restaurant in Australia, is not joking.

All you need to do is to change your last name into Burger.

The campaign, Australia’s Next Mr (or Mrs) Burger, was the restaurant’s counterattack on the seriousness of the recent world events.

"The media, the world, has been gripped with boring stuff such as Brexit and the election. We as a company think people take life too seriously, and this is just a way to have some fun ... It'll also be fun to get a sports team of Burgers out there," Maleik Edwards told Mashable Australia.

Participants in the competition have to be 18 years or above, and the name-change has to be officially registered and proved to the company.

Changing the name costs some money, but MrBurger promises to cover the application fee for the newly-registered Burgers.

It is not yet sure, if the surname Burger will boom in Australia soon.

"We've had lots of people consider it, but we don't know how many will take it seriously," Edwards said.
