This year’s edition of the Isle of MTV Malta is being held at The Granaries, Floriana tomorrow from 6pm to midnight, with gates opening at 3pm.

The free live music concert will this year feature Airport Impressions, British singer-songwriter and Grammy award winner Jess Glynne, multiplatinum-selling rapper Wiz Khalifa, the UK groundbreaking electronic band Clean Bandit and electro-house superstar DJ Steve Aoki, who will be closing this year’s Isle of MTV Malta 10th anniversary celebrations.

Although the area will be gated, no tickets or pre-bookings are required to attend. All visitors are subjected to a bag search before entering the concert.

There is no age restriction within the square; however, areas selling alcohol, including VIP areas, will have a strict 17 policy. VIP tickets are by invitation only and are unavailable for purchase.

The use of main routes is recommended, especially upon arrival and departure.

The organisers advised that the following items are banned: glass bottles (including perfume ); alcohol if under the age of 17; weapons (including pointed instruments, screw drivers, syringes, scissors, etc); illegal substances; drones;fireworks; professional audiovisual recording equipment; flags on poles; laser pens.

A raised platform for people with disabilities will be set up, able to host 50 people. Passes valid for two people – the blue badge holder and a carer /helper – will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Parking for blue badge holders will be available in the car park next to the Floriana football pitch, entrance through Great Siege Road.

Getting to the concert

Use public transport where possible to avoid heavy congestion before and after the event.

A special bus service will operate on the night between tomorrow and Wednesday at a fee of €3 (on board ticket) and €2.50 (using Tallinja card).

Public transport will use St Anne Street, instead of Triq Sarria.
