Leo Brincat's European Parliament hearing in connection with his nomination for the European Court of Auditors has been postponed, the Malta EP office has confirmed.

Mr Brincat was set to face a parliament committee on Monday but all hearings have been postponed in the wake of the UK's EU exit vote, which has thrown the bloc into disarray.

No new date for the hearing has been announced.

After Toni Abela’s nomination fell through, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat nominated Mr Brincat to the European Court of Auditors.
