• The feast of the Sacred Heart will be celebrated at Fontana parish church today with Mass at 9am led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech. Chorus Urbanus will participate. Mgr Saviour Tabone will lead vespers at 6.30pm. The procession with the statue, accompanied by La Stella Band, starts at 7.30pm and ends at around 10pm. Precursur and Ite ad Joseph bands will participate.

• Victoria and the Xagħra scout group are holding a blood donation at Gozo General Hospital today from 8.30 to 11.30am. Those interested in participating may call Group scout leaders Lorrie Saliba on 7955 5844 or Loraine Borg on 7933 3398.

• A traditional agricultural fair will be held in Archpriest Martin Camilleri Square, Nadur, today from 8am to noon. Exhibits will include local farm products, crafts, artisanal products, old farming tools, traditional food and wine.

• Today is the closing date for applications for the Don Bosco Oratory Summer Club, Victoria, from July 6 to September 2. The application form may be downloaded from donboscogozo.org.

• A Bible study meeting will be held tomorrow at 7.30pm at St Anthony church, Għajnsielem. All are welcome.

• Giochi – It’s a Knockout games will held in St Peter and St Paul Square, Nadur, tomorrow from 8pm onwards as part of celebrations marking the feast of Mnarja.

• The next Richmond Foundation Self-Help Group meeting will be held on Tuesday at 4.30pm at the NGO Centre, l/o Xewkija. For details call 2148 2336.

• Our Lady’s calling to Carmela Grima will be commemorated on Wednesday at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary. Masses will be said at 5, 6, 7 and 11.15am, and at 5.30 and 6.30pm. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead the 9am Mass. Archbishop Charles Scicluna will lead the 8pm Mass. Some of the celebrations will be broadcast on Radju Marija 102.3/107.8 FM and on Radju RTK 103.0/97.8FM.

• Mnarja Band will hold a concert entitled Big Band Adventures on Wednesday at 9pm at Archpriest Martin Camilleri Square, Nadur.

• Victoria Scout Group will hold an open air dinner at Santa Luċija Square, Victoria, on Saturday at 7.30pm. There will be a big screen showing the Euro 2016 match. Tickets at €15 for adults and €5  for children up to 12 are available from the scouts’ headquarters (tel. 2155 6497) or Group Scout Leader Lorrie Saliba on 7955 5844 up to Wednesday.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at Good Shepherd church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8.30pm, followed by Mass at midnight.

• Oasi Foundation will hold a commemorative and thanksgiving celebration next Sunday at 10.30am at the Oasi centre, Victoria, to mark its 25th anniversary.
