Joseph Tanti was awarded a Master of Arts degree in dramatherapy from the University of Roehampton, London.

The three-year part-time programme involved the application of dramatherapeutic techniques as an accessible and beneficial tool to all walks of life. It brings in the use of play in a safe, therapeutic space children, adolescents and adults can use to explore personal issues.

Mr Tanti has been working for over six years with students in work placement experiences in health and social care practices. In his research he explored what dramatherapy has to offer students before and after their work placement. As a practising dramatherapist, Mr Tanti is registered by the British Health and Care Professions Council and the British Association of Dramatherapists. He is also registered by the British Psychological Society as a psychology graduate.

His studies were aided by the Malta Government Scholarship scheme. He is currently a freelance dramatherapist at Treecat Dramatherapy.
