I am hoping someone can shed some light on unknown 19th century ‘Maltese tenor’ Michele Mamo who was married to a famous Italian soprano called Adelaide Borghi Mamo.

Her biography can be found on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adelaide_Borghi-Mamo).

What I am hoping to trace are his parents. He married Adelaide in 1849 and both ended their days in Bologna. Adelaide and her daughter, Erminia, were both quite famed sopranos but are simply unknown in Maltese biographies.

I would like to connect the tenor to my research site (maltagenealogy.com). There was also a descendant (a French gentleman), a Maltese link to the famous landed gentry family of Mamo.

My e-mail address is tancarville@optuset.com.au and my website www.maltagenealogy.com.
