The strain on Malta’s water resources is becoming more visible, and it is everyone’s responsibility to take decisions today to help protect these precious resources.

This was one of the conclusions of a conference on micro solutions towards more efficient and effective water systems and networks jointly organised by the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology’s Water Research and Training Centre and the Water Services Corporation at Mcast’s Institute of Applied Sciences in Paola.

Themes discussed included current research on water, to educational initiatives to increase awareness about water consumption, to the innovative solutions related to water control and management.

It was addressed by industry and academic experts as well as Agriculture Parliamentary Secretary Roderick Galdes.
