Marks & Spencer has incurred the wrath of Welsh soccer fans after putting up a poster appearing to back England's Euro 2016 squad.

The retailer came under fire over the poster in its store in Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff, saying it is the official suit supplier to Roy Hodgson's team.

The image - which features England players Kyle Walker, Chris Smalling and Joe Hart - has further riled supporters of the Welsh national team. JD Sports and Mars have also received criticism for their "England-centric" promotions in recent weeks.

There is nothing in the store about the Welsh national team, which has also qualified for the tournament and is in the same group as England.

Marks & Spencer said it has since apologised for "any offence caused" and says the poster has now been changed.
