Malta has placed 23rd in the 2015 Global Prosperity Index, having kept its place since last year.

The survey shows that Malta's best performance was in the Social Capital sub-index, where it ranked 19th in 2015.

Worryingly, its lowest rank was in the Education sub-index, where it ranked 42nd.

Malta placed between France and Spain.
