According to a recent article in The Observer, there can be no doubt that the majority of the print media in the UK is urging a Brexit on anti-foreigner grounds.

I am following the EU referendum debate and can conclude that most British newspapers are not interested in providing objective information about the EU but are focusing on stirring up the populist racist elements within British society.

Those who favour remaining within the EU are up against this sentiment. It seems many uninformed Britons are not interested in the economic benefits the UK derives from the EU.

The man in the street finds it hard to accept that Britain has to pay social benefits to all those foreigners living and working in the UK, even though the majority of these people are net contributors to the economy, through the taxes they pay.

Many people also resent the wave of immigrants claiming asylum and getting benefits. However, a Brexit will not stop this.

If there is a Brexit, a great nation will have to answer for its actions and for the terrible consequences of leaving the EU.
