Reprimanded: Brentford midfielder Alan Judge has been warned by the Football Association after breaching its anti-doping regulations. The Republic of Ireland international suffers from asthma and was found with high levels of salbutamol in his system following a match in August. He has been warned as to his future conduct, issued with a reprimand and will be target tested for the next two years.

Diarra: France international Lassana Diarra has been ordered to pay former club Lokomotiv Moscow £6.8 million for breaching his contract. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) handed down the 10 million euro punishment after hearing the case of the 31-year-old, who quit the Russian side in 2014 after just a year having suffered a salary cut.

Belgium win: English Premier League stars Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne scored the goals as Belgium warmed up for Euro 2016 with a 2-1 victory against Switzerland in Geneva, yesterday. However, Marc Wilmots’ side, one of the favourites for next month’s competition in France, had to come from behind to win after Blerim Dzemaili had given the hosts a surprise lead.

Goetze: Germany head coach Joachim Loew wants speculation over Mario Goetze’s future to be put on hold until after Euro 2016. The 23-year-old has struggled for first-team minutes at Bayern Munich and there have been reports that Liverpool are interested in his services. But Loew said: “I am not interested in this talk any more. This is something that I do not want to be confronted with any more and I will not talk about it again.”

McCarthy: Ireland midfielder James McCarthy is expected to resume training tomorrow, just a day before Martin O’Neill finalises his squad for the Euro 2016 finals. The 25-year-old was unable to train with his team-mates ahead of Friday night’s 1-1 friendly draw with Holland because of a thigh problem and his chances of playing in Tuesday night’s warm-up with Belarus in Cork look remote. However, the fact that he is due to return to the fold this week suggests there is no lasting concern over the problem.
