‘Bubble’, a company formed by six students from Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School, Naxxar, won the Best Quality Systems Award and the Company of the Year 2nd Runners-up Award at the Junior Achievement Young Enterprise (JA-YE) Malta 2015-2016 Company Programme final awards ceremony.
JA-YE gives students an opportunity to turn a business idea into reality, and in the process develop skills beneficial for their prospective career and personal life. The company’s product, ‘PressnCord’, consisted of homemade personalised cards with a technological twist.
The company was made up of Francesca Gauci as managing director, Davinia Agius, sales director, Micheala Muscat, marketing director, Claudio Stewart, quality director, Martha Vassallo, company secretary, and Francesca Zammit, finance director. They were assisted by economics subject co-ordinator Elaine Vella Magri Demajo and business advisor Alan Meers.
