As it reaches its tenth edition, Earth Garden Festival is expanding the Roots Stage to host all concerts. This year’s entrance ticket will give festival goers a pass to all areas including the concerts as the Roots Stage becomes the main and biggest stage seen in any edition of Earth Garden, hosting more than 25 international and local acts.

The line-up includes performances from the likes of Tribali, a band synonymous movement, colour and dynamic sounds that leaves the audience enthralled for days. Brikkuni, which coincidently are celebrating a decade since the band’s inception, will also be performing, as well as Etnika and Mohammed Reza.

Those who appreciate ska music can’t miss a live performance by Neville Staple and Nicky Bomba and the Malta Ska Orchestra, as well as, Airtist, KazinSka, The Rifffs, electro-swing from Tape Five and many more.

There will also be more music in other areas of the festival, with a jamming area under the trees; the Enchanted Forest with unplugged sessions in the afternoon; and reggae, electro-swing and world music at night. The Electronic Sphere houses a dance floor area for techno tunes, house and psychedelic music. Once again this year, the festival also focuses on the green aspect; last year, almost 4000kg of waste resources were saved. This year’s initiative, supported by WasteServ, is a build-up on the resources management systems used last year, enabling festival-goers to put their compost, metals and other waste in the correct collection bins on site.

All the materials will be reused post festival and utilised as resources. This is the first time in Malta that a festival is using reusable cups, which will massively reduce the number of disposable cups used; washing stations will be available across the festival grounds and the water will also be recycled. Pocket ashtrays will be provided for the campers and smokers on site at the Festival, together with biodegradable soaps to keep chemicals at a minimum.

Earth Garden Festival takes place on June 3, 4 and 5 June at the National Park, Ta’ Qali. Tickets are available online and from various outlets, and children under 12 accompanied by an adult will be allowed to enter the festival for free.
