A newly-embellished village square in Ghajnsielem will be inaugurated tomorrow evening, following a €125,000 redevelopment project.

Apparition Square, better known as the Pjazza tad-Dehra, now has a hard stone fountain base instead of a limestone one, new paving, a lawn, new benches and street furniture, a reservoir and two wooden bridges.

The project is intended to complement the Washers’ Spring (Ghajn tal-Hasselin) monument which was inaugurated last year. It was financed using EU Rural Development funds.

Tomorrow's ceremony begins at 6.30pm. Sicilian flag throwing group Sbandieratori di Noto will entertain the general public, and there will also be a traditional Maltese food area and traditional Maltese games for kids.

Gozo Minister Anton Refalo, EU funds parliamentary secretary Ian Borg and local councils parliamentary secretary Stefan Buontempo will all be in attendance.
