Once again Transport Malta has, in my opinion, managed to go against all logic, managing to turn Ta’ Xbiex into a maze forus drivers. What was the Transport Malta official thinking when he decided to block the usual exit onto the main road? I am referring to the Gżira side, not the Msida side.

Instead, we now have to veer through quite a number of roads, hoping that we will not crash, as there are a number of crossroads, to end up in what must be one of the narrowest road exits on the island. This detour makes all vehicles end up on the same road as before (just further up), so why did Transport Malta introduce this deviation?

The official in question certainly did not consider how much more exposed to accidents, we would be, with the new directions in place.

When one considers what Transport Malta managed to introduced into Malta – I refer to the famous bus lane in Gżira, the different lanes in Msida, with an added bus lane, the removal of the exit that drivers used when heading to Gżira/Sliema, and, finally, the road signs – I shudder to think what other surprises they have for us in the future.
