On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, Ċentru Tbexbix is organising a number of activities which continue to bring its aims and principles to light.

Centru Tbexbix is run by four Maltese and 12 English-speaking volunteers from different countries, sponsored by the Erasmus+ programme.

They are known as the project “tal-Ingliżi” and whoever goes to them takes it for granted that they need to speak English. Children from five to 12 years of age turn to the volunteers, whether German, Italian or Russian, and communicate in English without hesitation.

During these 10 years the activities have grown and nowadays, apart from learning English, children go to Ċentru Tbexbix after school to do yoga, arts and crafts, all types of sports, work on computers, learn about healthy living, practise singing, drama and dance, and discover their true potential, in an environment where they feel loved.

In the coming days, in collaboration with the Cospicua local council, Ċentru Tbexbix will be having a programme of activities, including Move Day (today), Earth Day, Yoga Day, Vegetarian Day, a day for Culture and Heritage, a Reading is Fun Day, Animals Day, Arts Day, and a children’s programme.

On Saturday the centre has included a fundraising intercultural night, with food from different countries and entertainment.

Tickets at €15 per person may be obtained by booking on 2180 5130 or 9928 1566.
