Times of Malta says a Colombian national who died after being beaten in Paceville was attacked when he stood up for a woman his two assailants were pestering. In another story, the newspaper says the government is refusing to provide a detailed breakdown of the costs incurred to host the Commonwealth summit last year.

The Malta Independent reports Independent MP Marlene Farrugia in Parliament at the close of a debate on her motion concerning the Prime Minister’s chief of staff Keith Schembri saying that government MPs had been forced to vote against their personal beliefs.
