The tyre-smoking Maltese show team, Maximum Lock, will be performing for spectators at the FIA/FIM Drag Racing European Championships first round at the Santa Pod Raceway, this weekend.

This will be a special occasion for the motor sport organisation in England as they are marking the 50th anniversary of the prestigious racing circuit with a special programme of events between Friday and Sunday.

The Maximum Lock team is composed of Christian Bezzina, Clint Abela and Mark Galea.

Throughout their careers, they have conducted breathtaking stunts for their audiences around Europe and also at the Bahrain F1 circuit. Their shows in their ultimate drift cars always prove to be crowd pullers, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats.

Maximum Lock thrill the crowds with stunts such as inch-perfect triple drifting, high speed drift parking and the show-stopper finale with one of their cars doing ‘doughnuts’ and no driver behind the wheel.

The main event will be held between the 27 and 30 May at Santa Pod raceway and comprises eight official classes competing across Europe.

All activities at the circuit will be filmed as Web TV shows.
