Local champions Valletta will begin their BOV Premier League title defence against Sliema Wanderers next season. 

The BOV Premier League match draw also means this season's runners-up Hibernians will kick off next season with a game against Hamrun Spartans. 

Valletta and Hibernians will face off in the sixth round of matches. A full list of the match sequence is attached as a PDF. 

The first round of fixtures for the 2016/17 season will be as follows: 

Floriana vs Pembroke Athleta

Birkirkara vs St Andrews

Balzan vs Mosta

Gzira Utd vs Tarxien Rainbows

Valletta vs Sliema Wanderers 

Hibernians vs Hamrun Spartans
