I read with great interest the article ‘Swinging expectations’ (May 18) by Johann Agius, who, I presume, is a theatre critic.
Unfortunately, I was present at the ManoelTheatre on May 14 for what I thought would be an enjoyable evening. I am neither a critic nor an actor but if the Maltese comedies can go so low without any respect for the audience present and if this is the theatre we are trying to instil into our young generation, I think the Maltese theatre is in free fall.
I do not know what hilarious laughter can be caused by using vulgar language continuously. And if this play was for 18 plus I beg to informyou that I am much older than that and much more mature.
