It sounds like the plot to a Japanese B-movie. 

Four men get into an argument with some nightclub bouncers, then return for payback - armed with samurai swords. 

But this was no movie. This was St George's street in Paceville this morning at 7am. 

A scuffle between four men and a group of bouncers could have ended in tragedy when the men returned 30 minutes after trouble first kicked off, swords in hand. 

Fortunately nobody was injured and police were called to the scene. But by the time officers arrived, the would-be samurai had done a runner. 

Police say they are investigating further.
