A second kidnapped girl more than two years ago in a raid on their school in Chibok town by Boko Haram militants has been rescued, a spokesman for the Nigerian army said on Thursday.

Army spokesman Sani Usman released the information in a message carried by PR Nigeria, which releases government statements.

Earlier, Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari said that Nigeria would make it a priority to allow the first Chibok teenager rescued to go back to school.

"Amina must be able to go back to school," Buhari said at a meeting with the girl, her mother and officials in the presidential villa.

He was referring to Amina Ali Darsha Nkeki, a schoolgirl who was flown in from the northeast regional capital Maiduguri. Officials confirmed she was one of 219 girls abducted from a government school in Chibok in April 2014.
