A report by Amnesty International has, for the first time, recorded global attitudes towards refugees... and has found China to be the "most welcoming".
Germany is next, Britain, third, and Russia last.
Amnesty Secretary General, Salil Shetty said:
"I think we are facing a leadership crisis on this issue. What happens is that the more populist, negative voices are occupying the airwaves... I think this survey is maybe going to correct the misperception that there is no popular support for taking in refugees and migrants."
27,000 people across 27 countries were surveyed for the report.
Eighty percent said they would welcome refugees into their city, neighbourhood or home.
Despite China coming out top, U.N. data says the country has yet to resettle Syrian refugees since the civil war began.
The number of people forced from their homes globally hit record levels in 2015.
