Legendary Italian singer Antonello Venditti will be the guest artist at this year's Joseph Calleja concert.

The world-renowned tenor's concert will be held on July 28 at The Granaries, Floriana. 

Venditti's works are known to have a strong social and political conscience, penning classics like Grazie Roma, Benvenuti In Paradiso, In Questo Mondo Di Ladri and Amici Mai.

For the fourth year running an agreement has been reached between the government and NnG Promotions to ensure the entire standing area will be free of charge and open to the public. There will be seated tickets as usual in front of the stage.

Once again the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra will accompany the artists under the baton of Mro Steven Mercurio together with the participation of the BOV Joseph Calleja Children’s Choir under the direction of Gillian Zammit.

Talks are in the final stages for another international artist to participate in the concert whose name is expected to be announced in the coming days.
