Yesterday saw the second Eurovision Semi-Final taking place at the Globe Arena in Stockholm, with more countries joining Ira Losco in Saturday's Grand Final. But away from the official stage, fans have also been getting their taste of Eurovision fever as the city of Stockholm embraces the party vibe.

At the Eurovillage - the official fan centre in the heart of the capital - fans turned out in droves last night for a party headlined by Eurovision favourites and past winners Elena Paparizou and Katrina Leskanich from Katrina and the Waves.

Greek-Swedish singer Elena Paparizou won the contest in 2005 with "My Number One" and has remained a fan favourite since. Katrina Leskanich was victorious in 1997 with the rest of the band, famous for "Love Shine a Light" and "Walking on Sunshine".

Speaking to the Times of Malta after the show, Paparizou had words of praise for the vibe and hospitality in Stockholm, and tipped Russia, Australia, France and Cyprus for success.

The evening also featured a host of famous Swedish artists as well as Sergey Lazarev, the Russian singer whose song "You are the Only One" is the current frontrunner for this year's competition.
