Wasteserv is organising an open day at the new waste treatment facility in the Magħtab Environmental Complex on Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

It will be a great opportunity for visitors to see exactly what happens to the waste that is accumulated daily across the Maltese islands and witness the rehabilitated landscape within the complex.

Throughout the day there will be tours led by experts in the waste management field. The tours will run every 20 minutes and across different locations within the complex, which is larger than the capital Valletta.

The day will also be filled with activities for the whole family to enjoy. There will be shows by Danusan, BMX Malta and Police Dogs Malta. Games and animation for the children and fun kids’ activities will be held throughout the day along with educational kite workshops.

Tree 4 U will also be there to help anyone wishing to sponsor a tree.

Visitors are requested to wear closed shoes for their own safety. Follow the signs on the Coast Road to arrive at the complex.
