Lazio have indicated that veteran striker Miroslav Klose will play his final game for the club this weekend.

The 37-year-old’s contract expires in summer and Lazio have branded Sunday’s match against Fiorentina as ‘Klose Day’ to pay tribute to the German.

“We want to see you at the Olimpico on Sunday to say goodbye to Miro,” said a message on Lazio’s Twitter page.

Klose joined Lazio from Bayern Munich in 2011 and has scored 59 goals for them in all competitions, with all seven of his strikes this season coming on or after February 25 following a lengthy drought to start the campaign.
