The Malta Tourism Authority, in collaboration with Jugs Malta, will be organising a fun-packed dynamic training session in the form of an iPad treasure hunt to foreign employees working in the hospitality industry.

The aim of this initiative is to provide a cultural background to the island of Malta, with particular insight into the city of Valletta.

Participants will be given a briefing prior to entering the city and groups will be split into teams of approximately five to seven persons per team. Each team will be handed an iPad with their own app of the treasure hunt route. The competing teams will then have to solve riddles to get to locations, complete a number of tasks and their singing skills will also be tested. Teams will be required to take creative photos and videos with the same iPad to fulfil the event’s aims of being creative and accurate.

Participants can use the interactive map provided with geolocation to get to hotspot locations – while tracking their opponents.

Photos of the event and the winning team will be featured on MTA’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.

The treasure hunt is taking place on Thursday, May 19 at 10am. Participants are asked to confirm their attendance by tomorrow. Participation is confirmed against a fee of €10.

To confirm participation, contact MTA on 2291 5122.

Meeting point is outside the Parliament building in Valletta. The event’s duration is approximately two hours.
