Lufthansa’s advert for Euro 2016 has poked fun at England’s supporters ahead of this summer’s tournament in France.

In the 45-second clip, two England supporters are seen arriving at the departure lounge of an airport only to learn their flight details have been abruptly changed due to unforeseen circumstances.

“Flight’s cancelled,” says one. “They’ve rebooked us on… Lufthansa.”

“Lufthansa?” replies the other. “We’re flying with the Germans?!”

The passengers are all dressed in Lederhosen while a cuckoo clock is seen on the wall and a young boy teases the Englishman by showing four fingers - the number of times Germany have won the World Cup.

The England fan awakens from how he perceives a Lufthansa flight to be like only to find the experience is in fact very similar to any other large European airline, with a flight attendant serving him a cold beer.

The advert finishes with the message: "Fly like a world champion," something England have not tasted since 1966.
