Scores of nature-lovers celebrated Naked Gardening Day on Saturday.

Topless topiarists joined pantless pruners across the country to grab their hoses, rakes and shears and indulge in a spot of starkers outdoor action.

World Naked Gardening Day itself is celebrated by free-spirited gardeners across the globe on the first Saturday in May each year and encourages the green-fingered to embrace nature in the nude.

According to the organisers, "besides being liberating, nude gardening is second only to swimming as an activity that people are most ready to consider doing nude."
